About

It does something to you being born into beauty. Growing up in Salzburg, Austria, has coloured my way of seeing. Ancient buildings, beautiful nature, rich history and classical music.

Formally I´m an engineer, but my heart belongs to the arts. My inspiration ranges wildly, both in time and style. I am excited by Salvador Dali, not to mention Hieronymus Boch and his crazy, fantastical style. The Impressionists impuls and breathtaking lightness never seizes to impress me. As drawing is second nature to me, I deeply admire “the original” Walt Disney as well as Edward Sokol. As far as precision and honesty is concerned, Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt van Rijn are my heroes.

In 2015 I started training at the Reidar Finsrud Academy of Art. This sharpened my approach to art, to drawing as well as to painting. I have gone from pencil to brush, an interesting blending of techniques. Mostly I paint with watercolours, keeping my style of drawing.

Today I live in Drøbak, Norway, with my wife Kristin. She is my best friend, muse and sparring partner. Luckily she is also an excellent writer and interprets all my art!
